It is always said that make your hobby your profession and your job will be fun. The logic behind this idea is that if you convert your hobby into your profession then you have to do the same things at workplace what you enjoy to do and thus your job/profession will no more be a burden for you. For example,if you have an interest in Photography then you may choose a career in Photography or Cinematography. If you have an interest in the things happening in the world of sports then you should choose a career in sports journalism,if you are interested in social service then you should go for a career with some NGO or in Administrative Service etc.
Now,the question arises that if someone converts his hobby into profession then would it really be fun? Will he get the same degree of joy and satisfaction that he used to get while engaging in that particular activity just as  hobby and not as jobwork.
If you ask this question to me,I'll disappoint you as I am not going to say that it would be fun making your hobby your profession. Instead, I'd like to say that if your going to take this decision,it can backfire too.
The biggest risk involved in doing so is of losing interest in your hobby. Doing something for your enjoyment is one thing and doing the same thing on other's wish is another thing. One enjoys his hobbies when he do it for his own satisfaction.
For example If your hobby is cooking then you can do it twice-thrice a week on your wish and according to your mood and convenience, but when you chose it as your profession then you'll have to cook irrespective of your mood. And I dont think that someone will enjoy cooking in scorching heat, but if its your job then you'll have to do it and then there will be a great probability of doing it in a casual way. And at this point you will not get the same amount of pleasure that you used to get when you cooked just for your enjoyment. Consequently you may lose your interest in your favorite task.
I know many friends who have chosen their professions according to their respective hobbies. Some have chosen Journalism/photojournalism as their hobbies were writing/photography etc. Some have chosen research as they had a great interest in their Graduation/Post Graduation subjects. Some of my friends are working with NGOs as they had a lot of interest in social service. Now the condition is that the Journalism guys wants to join teaching as they found their job very much hectic and in their opinion Teaching is a job where they can relax. The researchers wants to join some Government jobs as they found that the research field is an insecure field and they dont have guarantee that they'd get a job easily after completing their Ph.D. Even some of them have left their Ph.D.s to prepare for competitive exams. Almost similar things are happening with the others who had chosen their profession according to their hobby. Although some of them are enjoying their profession too,but for the majority of them the decision backfired and now they are thinking about a change.
So when you are going to take a decision on profession think thousand times,as choosing a profession on the basis of your hobby may kill your interest in the hobby itself and your creativity may be hampered.
Good-luck.

Lootera:Its not Just a Movie

When I was in University there were some special friends whose reviews about any movie used to help me to decide whether I'd watch a particular movie. Whenever they gave negative reviews to any movie,it was sure that the movie will appeal me. Now when these friends are not around, facebook does the same job. So when I saw too many negative reviews of 'Lootera',I decided to watch the movie. Although,It was not the only reason. Vikram's first movie(Udaan),Anurag Kashyap's dialogues and Amit Trivedi's music were also great catalysts to watch this movie.
Within 2 hours after landing in Delhi after overnight journey,I dragged my brother to the nearest single screen theater. And just like previous cases,I was right to go against instant facebook reviews. If I have to describe the movie in one sentence then I'd like to say that It is one the best movies released in last few years. This movie takes you in a new universe. Every frame is like a beautiful painting. While watching this movie you will feel that the characters are not engaged in conversation with each other but they are talking with you. Lootera flows like a beautiful poetry, like a steady river. Its neither too slow nor very fast. And the love-story in the movie is one of the most unusual but simultaneously one of the most realistic love stories shown in the Cinema. Pakhi knows that Varun is responsible for her father's death, her misery and for that she hates him but at the same time she loves him. And Varun knows that in his profession he does not have luxury to fall in love but he does so. In the second half, when he returns to Pakhi,he is not a transformed man but even worse than his past. Now he is a murderer. These complexities of relations shown in 'Lootera' most significant features of the movie.
If we talk about performances then all the characters have done justice to their roles. But the beauty of Lootera rests in its portrayal. After 'Udaan' Vikram has created another masterpiece. His direction deserves full marks. Other strong aspects of Lootera are Music and Cinematography. Amit Trivedi has done a brilliant job and background score will walk along you after theater. Mahendra Shetty's camerawork is awesome and he portrayed the 1960's era perfectly.
At the end I'd like to say that Its a movie that will remain with you for quite a long time. Lootera is a movie that  will be gentle to your eyes, ears and heart.
